That's Worth Repeating Thursday #6

     Last week I began a Beth Moore Bible Study (Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent) in my home with about 19 other women.  It's wonderful!  It has been too long since I have done one of her studies.  Below are two quotes from the introductory session.  I jotted them down last week in the margin of my notebook--and today I am sharing these bites of wisdom with you!

     I attended a church leader's conference a few weeks ago.  Today I was reading over my notes before filing them for future reference.  (All of the classes I attended were either for preschool or children's Sunday School teachers.)  There is one quote that stood out:

"The best session is a planned session."

     Last week my family went on a mission trip to Pennsylvania with our church youth group.  I noticed a message on the back window of another church van attending the same mission trip that really caught my attention.  It said: 

His Work

Our Hands

     This fit in very well with the construction and other tasks were were to be assigned for the week--but the message is for everyday.  Each believer should be willing to use his/her hands to do whatever job the Lord has for us.  He will do the work in us and through us.  We just have to be obedient and willing to work diligently for the Kingdom.  

As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me.

Persecution is an enemy the Church has met and mastered many times.  Indifference could prove to be a far more dangerous foe.

     We finished God's Smuggler this week.  I highly recommend this book! What a beautiful, true story of trusting God and witnessing provision from His hand!   When I read this part of the book, I said to my son, "Did you catch that?"   It's still SO true today!

     I love a good quote.  They can be inspirational.  They are a perfect way to end a speech or a paper. (Or a blog post!)  I like to post them around my home...on a chalkboard, for example. I like to pin them on my Wise Words board.  They can make you think, or just make you laugh.  So...I thought each Thursday I would share with you a quote that is "speaking" to me.  It could be a 2,000 year old quote or just something my kids said.  I hope you enjoy!
