I just recently started following ShaneGarrison.org (A Fellow Traveler in God's Kingdom). I really enjoyed hearing him speak at the VBS Institute at Ridgecrest.
His blog post, They are Not Bible Characters is great for every parent or anyone who teaches children at church.

I've read the message of that blog and really reminds me the difference between character and real. And yeah I agree that they were not a fictions.
